The research group of the University of Roma Tor Vergata (MiMEG - Microwave and Millimetre-wave Electronics Group) is actually composed by 2 full professors, 2 associate professor, 3 researchers and several PhD students and post-doc people, located at the Department of Electronic Engineering, University of Roma Tor Vergata.
-
The group is specialized in the characterization and modelling (linear and non linear) of active devices, and in the development of design methodologies for microwave and millimetre wave circuits (both linear and non linear, monolithic and hybrid).
-
The MiMEG Unit is equipped with a high frequency laboratory facilities with the most useful instruments: (Vector Network Analysers, Spectrum Analysers, Vector Signal Generators, Noise Figure Meter, Tuners, Digital Sampling Oscilloscope, I-V pulse measurement set up, two Probe Stations Cascade, etc.) and the major CAD tools: (Agilent-ADS, AWR Design Environment, COMSOL, etc.).
-
The research activities of the Unit is supported by more than a decennial experience in the field of high frequency non linear circuits design, and in particular it has been focused on the development of advanced and useful approaches and methodologies for high efficiency power amplifiers, developing and proposing new design guidelines and solutions, and providing a relevant contribute in this field, as attested by scientific papers.
